Decatur was the first township outside of Center Township to receive a branch library when the Marwood Branch opened in 1967 in a storefront location. Strong library usage throughout the township demonstrated the need for a new 11,300-square-foot branch that opened on Kentucky Avenue in 1990 as the Decatur Branch and continues to serve the community today.

Little ones will be engaged through stories and songs with sensory play and body movement activities! Help your 6 month-36 month child with their motor skills, emergent language, spatial awareness, and object permanence in this workshop with teaching artist Amauunet Ashé from Arts for Learning.
Children ages 0-5 and their caregivers are invited to join us for stories, songs, and fun. Stay after stories are finished for some literacy activities and playtime.
Crafters are invited to bring their projects monthly to meet, work on projects, share their recent creations, and have great conversation. All skill levels are welcome. Please contact the branch if you have concerns about your type of craft.
