Play Your Way!

Grab your friends and grab a book because it's time for Summer Reading at The Indianapolis Public Library! The Library is the ultimate playground for creativity, imagination, and discovery whether you're a beginning reader or a bookworm. Join the adventure, learn something new, and become a lifelong reader!

May 30 - August 1, 2026

Track the total time you spend reading, listening to audiobooks, reading aloud to someone, or having someone read to you. If you need help finding something to read, don't worry, just ask one of your librarians!

Prizes are earned at 1 hour, 5 hours, 10 hours, 15 hours, and 20 hours of reading. Claim prizes from May 30 to August 1.

How to Sign Up

Registration opens May 1. Register at one of our Indianapolis Public Library locations or directly through Beanstack.

If you are a local summer camp, daycare, or school that wants to participate in Summer Reading, you can register as a group. Please contact Outreach Services at 317-275-4075 for more information.

Register on Beanstack ONLINE

Go to our Beanstack website.
Under "Create an accout", click on "Register an Individual or Family".
Fill in your information! Beanstack allows families to be linked together so all family members can be accessed with one login.

Register in the Beanstack App

Go to your device's app store and search for Beanstack Tracker and download the free app or scan the QR code below.
Select to participate "at my library" then search for Indianapolis Public Library and select.
Follow the steps to register an individual or family!
