The Indianapolis Public Library, in partnership with the Mexican Consulate of Indianapolis, is proud to present the 2022 Contemporary Mexican Film Festival (Festival de Cine Contemporáneo Mexicano). Throughout the months of September and October, we will showcase movies from Mexico in Clowes Auditorium at Central Library. The movies were selected by the Mexican Consulate of Indianapolis from a list sent by the Secretariat Of Foreign Affairs.
Although 2022 is the second year that IndyPL has hosted the Contemporary Mexican Film Festival, it is the first year that the event is in person rather than virtual.
“We are so excited to invite the community to Clowes Auditorium for this year's Film Festival,” said Sakura Fuqua, immigrant outreach program specialist with the Indianapolis Public Library. “The Library and the Mexican Consulate hope this event allows the audience to learn about contemporary Mexico and to build understanding between the U.S. and Mexico.”
