Indianapolis, IN – July 2, 2024 – The Indianapolis Public Library is excited to announce its participation in the Hoosier Well-Being Data Project (HWDP), an initiative led by the Wellness Council of Indiana (WCI), a subsidiary of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. This project empowers employers to address mental health and substance misuse within their organizations, enhancing the quality of life for Indiana residents.
Through the HWDP, The Indianapolis Public Library will access and analyze employee data to gain insights into workforce mental health. This data-driven approach allows us to implement evidence-based strategies to create a supportive workplace environment. With expert guidance, we will develop a mental health strategy tailored to our organization's unique needs.
Participation in the HWDP offers exclusive access to a select group of organizations leading in workplace mental health. This collaborative effort aims to reduce stigma around mental health and substance use disorders, fostering a more compassionate community. Additionally, we will measure and track the positive impact on our workforce.
"We are honored to be part of the Hoosier Well-Being Data Project," said Gregory A. Hill, CEO of The Indianapolis Public Library. "This initiative aligns with our commitment to fostering a healthy and supportive workplace, and we look forward to the positive impact it will have on our employees and the community."
