The Haughville Branch of The Indianapolis Public Library will partner with the Hawthorn Community Center to host the Near West Job Fair on May 22, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The job fair is free for employers and participants. Over a dozen companies will be represented during the fair.
Additionally, the Branch’s Career Center will be open during the Near West Job Fair. The Career Center will provide free one-on-one assistance with creating resumes or filling out job applications.
“We want people to leave with either good job leads or a job,” said Keith Dinnage, a librarian at the Haughville Branch. “We try to find a variety of employers, but we also look for employers that would be of interest to people in the area. Local employers are of interest, especially.”

Dinnage noted that patrons have started to come into the branch to prep for this year’s job fair, utilizing The Library’s Carrer Center services.
