The Indianapolis Public Library’s annual Meet an Author, Be an Author Book Fair is taking place on October 19, 2024, between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., at Central Library From 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., attendees can take part in a local author book fair. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., attendees can participate in workshops and readings. The fair invites the public to meet local authors, attend writing workshops, and network with published writers, aspiring writers, and fans. No registration is required to attend this free and family-friendly event.
“The event is perfect for anyone interested in writing or publishing their work or exploring the local literary scene,” said Jill Edwards, adult program specialist with The Indianapolis Public Library. “We have workshops for aspiring writers to hone their skills and we have plenty of books for readers of all ages to discover covering a variety of genres.”
Local authors are invited to apply to be featured at the Meet an Author, Be an Author Book Fair. Featured authors will receive free table space to sell and promote their books, network with other authors, and engage with the public. The application period opens on July 1 and closes on August 26. Selected authors will be notified by September 13.
