Edgar Award-winning novelist Mindy McGinnis will speak about her books and writing at Central Library on Tuesday, April 26, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
McGinnis writes across multiple genres including post-apocalyptic, fantasy, historical, thriller, and contemporary. As a ninth-generation farmer, her writing reflects small-town living and aspects of rural poverty. Despite covering a variety of genres, many of her books explore the harshness of the natural world. For example, Given to the Sea is a YA fantasy novel about a world where the sea is rising and cannot be escaped. Not A Drop To Drink is a dystopian novel about a future where water is worth more than gold.
Books will be available for purchase at the event courtesy of Kids Ink. McGinnis will participate in a book signing at the event. McGinnis is available for Zoom and phone interviews prior to her IndyPL visit. Learn more about McGinnis at mindymcginnis.com or register to attend her author talk.
This event is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
