The Learning Curve

The Learning Curve is a high tech, hands-on area designed just for kids, teens, and their families. From story times to art programs, and even an area for teens only, the Learning Curve offers a unique blend of digital and traditional library materials and programming for youth ages 0-18. Our interactive activities are aligned with academic standards and incorporate a variety of technologies to ensure a dynamic, hands-on learning experience.

Upcoming Renovation

The long-awaited renovation plans for Central Library’s Learning Curve (children's area) will be underway very soon. The children’s picture book area formerly located on the East side of Floor 2 at Central Library is now available on the East side of Floor 3. This includes picture books, toddler, concept, board, and characters books, and CDs for children.

Homeschool Collection

This growing collection is designed for homeschooling families of all ages who are interested in supplementing their current curriculum. This collection includes a wide range of educational materials meant for educators. See our Homeschool Services page for a full list of branches and a direct link to the complete collection in our online catalog. All materials can be placed on hold at any branch or from home.
