Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring in food and beverages to Central Library?

We work with the Ritz Charles as our exclusive caterer. No outside food/beverages are permitted. Please reach out to the Central Library events team for the Ritz Charles contact information.

Do you allow photoshoots at Central Library?

Yes. There is a $50/hour photoshoot fee and photoshoots must be arranged at least one week in advance. Please reach out to events@indypl.org for date/time availability and for a photoshoot application. Photoshoots can only take place during Library public hours.

Are tours of the spaces available?

Absolutely, contact us to arrange a visit. During the tour, you will also receive a packet of information about the venue, pricing, and availability.

Does the library allow alcohol?

Yes. All alcohol must be supplied by our exclusive caterer.

Are tables and chairs included in the room rental?

Tables and chairs are included in the rental of our meeting rooms. Tables and chairs for events held in our larger event spaces are dependent on event size and table/chair availability. Please contact us for more information.

Is parking available for guests of the event?

Parking is included for all event rentals. Central Library offers convenient parking in our underground garage that has parking spaces for up to 300 vehicles on two levels. The garage entrance is located on Pennsylvania Street, just south of 9th Street.
