What was known as the Shelby Branch began in 1918 when the library was housed in old School No. 34. A new branch was constructed in 1965 at the current Shelby Street location. Following a major renovation, the branch reopened in 2011 as the Garfield Park Branch, reflecting the desire of residents to refer to the branch by their beloved and adjacent Garfield Park.

Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their parents/caregivers are invited for stories, songs, and movement activities.
Do you need help with resume writing, job searching, or job applications? Or are you interested in learning new computer skills? Join us for this weekly drop-in program for one-on-one assistance.
Adults with basic mouse skills are invited to practice keyboard skills to type more effectively. By the end of this class you should be able to identify keys on a keyboard and their functions, use a hotkey combination, and identify basic landmarks in Windows 10 such as icons and taskbars.
